Tajima Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, November 25th , 2045 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Toshinori Tajima of the University of Southern California Trojans. Tajima went on a tear at Dedeaux Field and cracked hit after hit off Florida State University pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 17-year-old right fielder had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Tajima's personal accolades, the Florida State University Seminoles walked off the field with the 16-14 win. Toshinori Tajima singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. This year Tajima is batting .397 with 104 hits and 20 home runs. He has scored 73 times and has batted in 96 runs. |
