Afghani's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, November 29th , 2045 Jerry Afghani continued his streak at Haymarket Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The University of Miami left fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Hurricanes were not as fortunate, losing 9-6 to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. "Afghani was hitting everything we threw at him," said University of Nebraska manager Billy Vopinek. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Jerry Afghani hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th.
