Collazo on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Louisiana State University Tuesday, December 5th , 2045 Alejandro Collazo of the Huskies was unstoppable in today's 12-1 victory over the Louisiana State University Tigers at J. O. Christian Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the University of Conneticut shortstop after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Alejandro Collazo doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off D.J. Ganz in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. So far on the season Collazo is hitting .397 with 14 home runs, 60 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has 98 hits and played in 68 games. |
