5 Hits for Gators Inouye Thursday, December 14th , 2045 The University of Florida Gators upended the University of Maine Black Bears at Mahaney Diamond today, thanks in large part to first baseman Kazumi Inouye, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Gators to a 19-3 victory. Kazumi Inouye singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Keith Rogers in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Jimmy Hitchcock in the 9th. In 78 games this year Inouye has posted a .331 average and put up these numbers: 3 home runs, 37 RBIs and 79 runs scored. |
