Wednesday, December 20th , 2045
University of Nebraska starting pitcher Danny Sosa had a big day at Mahaney Diamond today against the University of Maine Black Bears. The 15-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Cornhuskers to a 18-8 triumph over University of Maine.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Sosa said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Danny Sosa walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
To date this season Sosa has compiled a 3-2 record with a 4.84 ERA in 9 starts.
