Brewers Subdue St. Louis, 5-3
The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers get after it.

The 5-3 Milwaukee win over St. Louis was due largely to Daniel Donovan. The Brewers left fielder went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Cardinals fall to 10-20 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Donovan contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Milwaukee in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Donovan took a splitter from Josh Ambrose and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Brewers to leap in front, 4-2.

Donovan said his team "played with focus."
