Nationals Inch Closer to .500 With 6-3 Win
|
The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Nationals Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-3. Starting pitcher Tim Wybenga played a key role in the triumph. The win has Washington at 15-16.
Seth Cook tagged a home run off Isaburo Ishihara in the bottom of the first. His 3-run blast put the Nationals on top, 3-0. In all, Cook had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Cook told the Washington Daily.
