Cardinals Deal Brewers 4-2 Loss
|
The St. Louis Cardinals topped the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-2, in National League action at Miller Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of St. Louis pitcher John Fisher. The win puts St. Louis at 12-20.
St. Louis used the clutch hitting of Nick Gentzel to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to give the Cardinals the lead, 3-2. For the game, Gentzel had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
Milwaukee manager Andy Pafko III said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
