Tigers Come Up Short at Chicago, 2-1
|
Joseph Disepolo left his imprint on the 2-1 Chicago win against the Detroit Tigers. Disepolo, who finished 4th in the NL in RBI with 145 in 2038, was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. Zach Ault, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. With the win, Chicago pushed its record to 23-11.
Disepolo came through for Chicago with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. He hit a 2-2 fastball to right field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
Disepolo described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
