Giants Prevail, 7-5, Over Colorado
|
The San Francisco Giants trumped the Colorado Rockies, 7-5, at AT&T Park. San Francisco left fielder Tom Best was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Andrew Kindig earned save number 11 this season. The victory gives San Francisco a record of 22-13.
The Giants got a big at-bat from catcher Bill Dooms. For the game, Dooms was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave San Francisco a 6-5 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster.
