Keziah 5-for-7 for Tri-City
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Chris Keziah is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the Los Angeles (NYP) Angels at Academia de Abel Garcia today. The monster effort from the 25-year-old second baseman helped the Tri-City ValleyCats take the win, 29-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Angels manager Cory Spangenberg. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Chris Keziah hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Yee Koh in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Noah Pena in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, walked in the 9th and struck out in the 9th.
Thus far this year Keziah has hit .480 with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs.
