Nakamoto on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle
Requiring speed, power and regular contact, the cycle is often seen as a test of a complete hitter. For Junki Nakamoto, consider that test passed.

The 27-year-old center fielder hit for the cycle at Eastwood Field today to lead the Staten Island Yankees to a 14-10 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. All told, Nakamoto delivered 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.

"It feels good of course, but I'm not going to kid anyone -- there's a lot of luck in hitting for the cycle," he said after the game. "Several unique things have to come together all in the same game."

Junki Nakamoto singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, tripled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jay Rook in the 7th.

Thus far this year Nakamoto is hitting .211 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
