5-4 Loss Extends Houston Losing Streak
|
The Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Toronto Blue Jays did just enough to sneak past the Houston Astros, 5-4, at Rogers Centre. Toronto pitcher Stacy Hootentootin, in particular, had a standout performance. Hootentootin went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-2. Junpei Yamazaki earned the save for Toronto, his 4th.
Donny Burnside went 1-4 with a walk for Toronto. The speedster had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chad Curry. It was his 14th walk of the season.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Burnside.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for Houston.
