Rangers Turn Back Angels, 5-4

The first-place Texas Rangers picked up another win.
Texas picked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, toppling the California Angels, 5-4. Pitcher Pimbly Nimblebottom was one of the reasons the Rangers triumphed. Nimblebottom went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-2. Brad Kramer got the save, the 10th for him this season.
The Rangers got an important contribution from catcher Ray Llewellyn, who in the bottom of the first knocked a full count slider into left for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Nimblebottom. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
The victory gives Texas a record of 27-15.
