Big Day for Froyd in 10-4 Astros Win
Behind the hitting of Josh Froyd, the Houston Astros stopped the New York Yankees, 10-4. Froyd was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Astros. Mike Chisolm, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 4. Jason Decker picked up the save for Houston, his 1st of the year.

Froyd contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Houston in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Froyd took a slider from Arturo Eli and stroked the double to center. His 8th double of the season allowed the Astros to leap in front, 2-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Houston manager Dave DaSilva.

The Astros go to 12-34 with the win.
