Indians Suffer 8-2 Loss to Texas
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Texas Rangers take on the Cleveland Indians.
Behind an impressive start by Kelly Goosecock, Texas beat Cleveland, 8-2. The Rangers lead the American League West Division by 5½ games.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Josh Cook barreled up a fastball from Dennis Beals. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Rangers in front, 7-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Goosecock told the Texas Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
