The Cincinnati Reds topped the Kansas City Royals by the score of 6-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Antonio Figueroa. Figueroa hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Reds on the day. The win elevated the Reds to 27-21.

In the bottom of the eighth, Figueroa put his team in front with his 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came against Elijah Lewis, made it 6-5, Cincinnati.
