The New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-3. New York pitcher and Cottonwood, Arizona, native Matt McAtee led the way. Earning his 12th save of the year was Chris Thurner. New York, at 24-26, occupies first place in the National League East Division.
McAtee allowed no runs over 7 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.
McAtee told a New York Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
