Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Red Sox
					 |

The Boston Red Sox topped the Baltimore Orioles, 4-1, in American League action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Wenatchee, Washington, native Jeremy Hernandez. Hernandez got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. Hernandez allowed 1 run. John Jordan picked up the save, his 2nd.
Boston used the clutch hitting of Robbie Rogers to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Boston manager Rob Diederichs.
  Boston is now 22-30.
