Twins Beat Seattle, 4-3
|
Minnesota Twins starter Gerbrand van de Bilt pitched a strong game against the Seattle Mariners at Target Field, leading the Twins to victory, 4-3. Jimmy Seager, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Minnesota now has a 3-game win streak.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Minnesota first baseman Bobby Ayala, facing Takaaki Nakada, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Twins the 4-3 win.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Seattle manager Aaron Schiff.
