Historic Day: Beck Jolts 4 HR
An amazing display of power vaulted Shannon Beck and the Oakland (APP) Athletics to victory and into the record books today, as the catcher hit 4 home runs against the Cleveland (APP) Indians.

Beck was an unstoppable force for the Athletics in the 24-0 triumph at Cleveland Indians Complex. In the postgame interview, Beck said he started to feel the pressure before his last home run.

"I could feel the anticipation from the crowd, the look in my teammates' eyes," he said. "I was already thrilled, but as I stepped in the box I said, please God, let me hit one more."

His totals on his history-making day were 4 hits in 6 at-bats with 11 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Shannon Beck hit a GRAND SLAM off Oscar Alvarado in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off David Aldape in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Longley in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off John Clark in the 9th.
