The 9-7 Miami win over Colorado was due largely to Micah Christopher. The Marlins first baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belongs to John Dinsmore in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Victor Walshe took the loss for Colorado. Miami currently is in third place in the National League East Division at 27-31.

Christopher had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch changeup from Mike Mik, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Marlins a 7-6 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Christopher.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Christopher told the Miami Daily.
