Washington Gets 3-0 Win
|
The Washington Nationals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Brian Ramirez, who muffled the Philadelphia offense en route to a tight 3-0 Nationals win at Citizens Bank Park. Jakub Kvacek notched his 14th save in 15 chances. Washington is now 26-34, while Philadelphia is 24-36.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alexis Cantu? The Washington designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nationals on top, 2-0. For the game, Cantu had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Cantu called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
