6-5 Loss Extends Cleveland Losing Streak
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Danny Dunham, the Cleveland Indians lost to the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5. Dunham went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Matt Altieri, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-3. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 10 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Junpei Yamazaki notched his 7th save in 8 chances.

Kirk Arp dealt the Indians a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 1st and Toronto leading 4-0, Arp, who finished 4th in the AL in home runs with 43 last year, hit a 0-2 knuckle curve for a 2-run home run.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Arp told the Toronto Herald.

With the win, Toronto raised its record to 39-23.
