5-Hit Blitz by Eugene's Kim
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Du Kim today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at MCU Park and paced the Emeralds to a 34-7 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Eugene center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 8 tries and put his name in the record book. Du Kim singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, hit a two-run triple in the 9th and grounded out in the 9th.

To date this year Kim is batting .260 with 4 home runs.
