Molchan Socks It to Emeralds, Cracks 5 Hits
|
Rome Braves catcher Tim Molchan went 5-for-7 today and paced Rome to a 26-1 victory over the Eugene Emeralds at State Mutual Stadium.
"Well, that was fun," Molchan said following the game.
Tim Molchan singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Molchan is batting .294 this year with 5 home runs, 44 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 79 hits in 269 at-bats.
