Spirited fans greeted the Cincinnati Reds for their clash with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a good effort from starter Jack Overbeek in defeating the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The final score was 5-1. Overbeek went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-2.
In the top of the second, Arizona catcher Warren Eisner had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Eisner stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 1-0, Arizona. For the game, he went 1-4.
Eisner told a Arizona Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
With the victory, the Diamondbacks upped their record to 41-27.
