The San Francisco Giants beat the California Angels, 2-0. San Francisco pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Keith Kidd led the way. San Francisco reliever Tyler Stancil picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Gus Morante shouldered the loss. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 41-25.
San Francisco took a 1-0 lead on Lucan Esini's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run came off California pitcher Gus Morante in the bottom of the seventh.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Kidd. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
