Twins Drop Indians with Late Score

The Elizabethton Twins did just enough to sneak past the Cleveland (APP) Indians, 2-1, at Joe O'Brien Field. Elizabethton pitcher Markus Schellevis earned player of the game honors. The Twins, at 97-50, have a comfortable 35½-game lead in their division.
In the bottom of the ninth, Justin Russell had a big run-scoring single off Robert Torres. With the single, the Elizabethton pinch hitter put his team in front, 2-1. He was 1-1 in the contest.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Schellevis told the Elizabethton Daily News.
