Hensley Hits 2 home runs in Phillies Win
|
The Philadelphia Phillies topped the New York Yankees, 9-6, in National League action at Yankee Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Philadelphia first baseman Josh Hensley. John Murray, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits. The loss makes New York 41-31.
Hensley had a timely hit for Philadelphia in the top of the seventh. With New York trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-2 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Philadelphia.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Hensley.
