French Powers Expos Offense
The Montreal Expos topped the Texas Rangers, 8-2, in American League action at Quebecor Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Montreal first baseman Steve French. With the win, Montreal upped its record to 45-29.

With Montreal leading 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh, French hit a fastball from Josh Sabatino for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Expos ahead, 8-2.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said French.
