Mets Lose to Nationals, 5-2
|
The Washington Nationals topped the New York Mets, 5-2, in National League action at Nationals Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Washington pitcher Brian Ramirez. Washington now sits at 33-42, while New York falls to 39-38.
Masashi Yukizawa had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Washington. He came through with a 2-run single to put Washington in front, 4-1.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Ramirez. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
