The Minnesota Twins relied on the hitting of third baseman Hildo Pot to stop the Cleveland Indians, 7-6. For the game, Pot hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Luis Guerrero, now 1-3, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1.

Had Willis Robles not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Robles hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Twins.

"We found a way to get it done," Robles said.
