Donovan Pops Two Homers in 11-7 Win for Milwaukee
|
The Milwaukee Brewers relied on the hitting of left fielder Daniel Donovan to stop the Philadelphia Phillies, 11-7. For the game, Donovan slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Brewers go to 36-44, putting them last in the National League Central Division.
The Brewers got an important contribution from third baseman Jean-François Bernard, who in the top of the fourth hit a knuckleball into right for a solo home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 5-3.
"We take it day by day here," said Donovan, "and today was a good one for us."
