White Sox Take Down Tigers, 6-5
|
Despite a great performance by Detroit third baseman Ryan Neal, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Tigers by the score of 6-5 at U.S. Cellular Field. Neal went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the victory, the White Sox upped their record to 51-30.
Chicago took a 6-5 lead on Cesar Herrera's 12th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Herrera hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Detroit pitcher Joe Bradford shaking his head.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Chicago manager Jake Turnbull.
