World Series Game 1 Victory for Richardson and Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Pirates started the World Series in style today, downing the visiting Montreal Expos at PNC Park by a score of 6-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Pirates left-hander Sam Richardson threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs.

Brad Day, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2043 draft, aided the Pittsburgh cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Day.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
