Pittsburgh Win to Pull Even With Montreal
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Montreal Expos, 10-3 in Game 4 of the World Series today. Making an impact was center fielder Luis Ramos, who was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The win moves Pittsburgh into a 2-2 tie with Montreal in the series.
Pittsburgh relied on the hitting of Andrew Robinson to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Pirates on top, 1-0. For the game, Robinson had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," Pirates manager Kevin Giles said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Quebecor Stadium in Montreal.
