Bremseth Slugs 4 HR Against Cardinals
Nothing could stop Dan Bremseth today -- certainly not the Johnson City Cardinals pitching staff.

The 20-year-old left fielder for the Kingsport Mets sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Hunter Wright Stadium and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the Mets took a 14-11 win over the Cardinals.

"In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Cardinals manager Julio Rivero said later. "He clobbered us."

Bremseth's dream game included 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 homers, 7 runs driven in and 4 runs scored.

"I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," Bremseth told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys."

Dan Bremseth hit a two-run home run off Francisco Galindo in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Francisco Galindo in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Francisco Galindo in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Morse in the 8th.

For the season Bremseth is batting .367 with 94 hits and 31 home runs. He has scored 99 times and batted in 91.
