Mets Lose By a Run at Atlanta, 2-1
					 |

The Atlanta Braves grabbed a win, 2-1, over the New York Mets at Turner Field. Atlanta pitcher Matt Sigurdson threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The first-place Braves, at 48-42, now lead their division by 2 games.
Ike Trout was a prime factor in the win for the Braves. In the bottom of the third with one out, the former first round draft pick hit a run-scoring single. He went 2 for 4 with a double.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Atlanta manager Andres Wray II.
