Nationals Sneak Past Braves, 4-3
|
The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Turner Field, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jaden Asante played a key role in the triumph. Keith Pratt converted his 8th save in 9 tries. The 4th-place Nationals improved to 41-53.
Pat Aviles, the 23-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Aviles contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Washington up, 4-3.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Atlanta manager Andres Wray II.
