Torres Finds Groove in 6-1 Triumph
					 |

The Winnipeg Goldeyes got a strong performance from pitcher Eddie Torres, who stymied the Hamilton offense en route to a 6-1 win at Stoney Creek Stadium. Hamilton is in the throes of a 10-game skid.
Torres, who dominated for Winnipeg, earned the victory to move to 12-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 7 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 8. Hamilton batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Torres told the Winnipeg Times.
