Jerome Gets No-Hitter Against Palm Beach
		 |

The Tijuana Toros were just hoping for a solid outing from Guy Jerome. Instead, they got something special.
The 18-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Palm Beach Nationals, helping the Toros take the 6-0 win.
"I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Toros. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special."
Jerome's repertoire has a sinker, fastball, and changeup, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the Palm Beach hitters off balance all game long. The Tijuana hurler fanned 15 and walked 4 in his history-making performance.
"His sinker looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," Palm Beach manager Clancy Wilkins joked after the game.
During this season he has made no relief appearances, earning a 5-0 record with no saves. In 51.1 innings Jerome has struck out 84 with a 3.16 ERA.
