White Sox Stay Hot With 3-2 Win
|
Globe Life Park in Arlington was the site of a tense game between the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox.
The Chicago White Sox beat the Texas Rangers, 3-2. Chicago pitcher and Fontana, California, native Xenophon Valvis led the way. Valvis, now 16-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Zach Ault earned his 23rd save in 24 chances.
Joseph Disepolo, the slick-fielding shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Disepolo contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Chicago up, 3-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Disepolo said.
The winning continues for Chicago, with the latest making it 7 straight.
