Burke Helps Nationals Beat Phillies, 4-1
|
The Washington Nationals relied on the hitting of second baseman Adam Burke to stop the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-1. For the game, Burke went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Dale Ahernfeld got the win, improving to 4-9. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 3 and walking 2.
