Britt, Royals Too Much for Indians
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals get after it.

The Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Indians, 9-4, at Kauffman Stadium. The win was due in part to catcher Sam Britt, who was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. The winning pitcher was John Hall. He tossed 102 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits.

Britt contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Kansas City in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 4-3, Britt took a cutter from Drew Rickelman and stroked the double to right. His 13th double of the season allowed the Royals to leap in front, 5-4.
