Is it better to be lucky or good?
After leading the Amarillo ThunderHeads to victory, 11-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Houston Colt .45's, Ian Wilson didn't have the answer.
"I don't know," Wilson said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."
On his big day at Colt .45's Stadium, Wilson fanned 22 and had 1 walk. And it seemed that when the Colt .45's managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.
"That's how you get a no-hitter," Wilson said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
This season Wilson has been credited with 3 saves in 17 relief appearances. In 74 innings he has a 8-1 won-lost mark, 2.19 ERA and 130 strikeouts
