Marlins Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Carlos Rodriguez had a hand in Miami Beach defeating Amarillo by the score of 7-3. Rodriguez went 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 times and driving in 1 runs. Philip Veenstra got the win, improving to 15-4. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The Marlins own a robust 83-48 mark.
Miami Beach grabbed a 5-3 lead in the top of the seventh when Kyle Goodwin hit a 2-run double. For the day, Goodwin went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Rodriguez told the Miami Beach Chronicle.
