Thrilling Victory Pushes Braves Win Streak to 16
|
The Danville Braves defeated the Miami (APP) Marlins, 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was shortstop Alain Dufour, who was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jorge Segarra earned his 9th save in 9 chances. This win makes it 16 in a row for Danville.
Dufour provided the big break for the Braves in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single, helping Danville to get the win.
"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Dufour crowed after the game.
