Goehring Lays Hammer Down in 5-1 Win
|
The Missoula Osprey got a stellar effort from pitcher Brendan Goehring, helping Missoula score a 5-1 win over the visiting San Diego (APP) Padres. The last-place Osprey improved to 18-125.
Goehring, who leaned on his fastball, allowed 1 run on just 1 hit over 8.1 innings for the Osprey. For the most part, San Diego (APP) hitters were simply overmatched.
"Enjoyed this one," Goehring told the Missoula Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
