						Getting a good performance from center fielder Bobby Arteaga, the San Francisco (APP) Giants defeated the Johnson City Cardinals, 9-2. Arteaga was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs for the Giants. San Francisco (APP) reliever Ben Haddix picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Omar Guardado was saddled with the loss. San Francisco (APP), at 90-62, occupies second place in the National League West.
  Wilson Ayala did his part for the Giants, producing a run-scoring  double in the top of the first inning. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a double and a walk.
